These professionals are the backbone of our operations, ensuring that our research environment runs smoothly and efficiently. The Lab Manager oversees daily operations, ensuring that all protocols, safety standards, and equipment maintenance are meticulously upheld. Our Project Managers coordinate and streamline research activities, facilitating communication, resource allocation, and project timelines to drive our scientific goals forward. Dulce María Hernández Piña
Dulce holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Universidad Potosina and serves as the Laboratory Manager at the Viral and Human Genomics Laboratory. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the lab, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols, and managing laboratory resources. Additionally, Dulce acts as the primary liaison for suppliers and visitors, facilitating communication and coordination to support the lab's research activities and operational efficiency. |
Monica G. Espinosa Morán
Monica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from the Faculty of Accounting and Administration at Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP) and has furthered her expertise with a postgraduate diploma in Tax Contribution. She currently oversees the Resource Allocation Agreement Office at UASLP's Faculty of Medicine, where she plays a crucial role in managing and distributing financial resources. Additionally, Monica is instrumental in managing grant funds for the Viral and Human Genomics Laboratory, ensuring effective allocation and compliance with funding requirements to support our research initiatives. |

Joana M. Lara Espinosa
Jo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico de Matehuala and is currently serving as an aide in the Resource Allocation Agreement Office at UASLP's Faculty of Medicine. In this capacity, Jo supports the management and distribution of resources within the Faculty. Additionally, Jo plays a vital role in overseeing the grant funds acquired by the Viral and Human Genomics Laboratory, contributing significantly to the effective management and allocation of these resources to support our research efforts.

Roberto López Alvarado
Roberto is a former agroecology engineering student currently providing janitorial services for our lab. Roberto serves as the janitor for our BSL-3 facility, playing a vital role in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment. His responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing laboratory spaces, common areas, and equipment while adhering to strict biosafety and biosecurity protocols. Roberto ensures proper disposal of biohazardous waste, manages cleaning supplies, and performs routine inspections to uphold the facility's operational standards. His work is essential to maintaining the integrity and safety of the laboratory, supporting the critical research conducted within the BSL-3 setting. |
